Today we discuss the importance of follow-up.
The key to being an effective leader is to follow-up on tasks ans assignments.
Follow Up. If you ask someone to do something for you follow-up with them to make sure they did it.
People need to know that when you ask them to complete something that you will be checking back on it.
It’s simple right? Just follow-up. This is really common sense but it’s not always common practice. Make it a habit.
Some things to help out:
- Be clear on expectations and timelines when assigning tasks
- Set the deadline for follow-up
- Be sure to follow-up when you say you will
- Set reminders to follow-up
